AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF FORREST COUNTY TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS ANNUALLY TO PEARL RIVER VALLEY OPPORTUNITY, INC., TO BE USED AS MATCHING FUNDS IN ORDER THAT PEARL RIVER VALLEY OPPORTUNITY, INC., MAY RECEIVE FUNDS FROM THE STATE OR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Forrest County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute annually to Pearl River Valley Opportunity, Inc., a community action agency, funds, in an amount not to exceed Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) per year, to be used as matching funds for grants or other funding from the state or federal government for human resource programs and/or to contract for the operation of any human resource or human service program in Forrest County.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and shall stand repealed from and after January 1, 2002.
